Vivo S50t Introduced: Here are the Details

Vivo S50t Introduced: Here are the Details

vivo S50t model was announced. The storage technology and price details of the device, which is almost identical to the original S50, are in our news.

Following the S50 and S50 Pro mini models introduced in December, vivo is expanding its product family with the S50t. The new model shares almost exactly the same structure as the original S50 in terms of technical specifications.

The only difference between the devices is in the storage technology. While the UFS 4.1 storage unit is used in the vivo S50 model, the older and more cost-effective UFS 3.1 technology is preferred in the new S50t model.

No Change in Technical Specifications

The S50t model includes the same hardware features as the original S50. The device comes with an AMOLED screen that is 6.59 inches in size and offers a 120Hz refresh rate with a resolution of 1260 × 2750 pixels. Powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, the phone is offered to users with 12GB or 16GB RAM options and 512GB storage space.

On the camera side, there is a 50MP resolution main camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with OIS support and an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera. On the front, there is a selfie camera with 50MP resolution. The device draws attention with its 6,500 mAh capacity battery and 90W wired fast charging support.

Pricing and Market Position

The pricing of the new model is kept at a more accessible level compared to the original model, thanks to the use of the UFS 3.1 storage unit.

The version with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage goes on sale with a price tag of 3,199 CNY (approximately $468).

The model with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage capacity is listed at 3,499 CNY (approximately $512).

In both configurations, the S50t launches at a more affordable price of CNY 100 (about $14) compared to the original S50 model.

How do you think this small change in storage technology on the hardware side will affect the user experience?
