The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Exceeds the 65 Million Sales Markdown

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt surpassed the 65 million sales threshold 11 years after its release. CD Projekt Red’s current financial information and projects are in our news.

CD Projekt Red announced that a new milestone has been reached for its well-known game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The game has sold more than 65 million copies in total, 11 years after its release.

This development comes on the heels of the announcement of a new downloadable content pack called Songs of the Past and a free Next-Gen update. The company formalized this success by sharing its financial data for the first quarter of 2026.

Revenue Increase in The Witcher Series

In the first quarter of 2026, The Witcher series generated revenue of 44.7 million Polish zlotys, or approximately $12.26 million. This number indicates an increase of 36 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.

In the same period, the Cyberpunk series generated revenue of 140.1 million Polish zlotys, or approximately 38.45 million dollars. Revenue on the Cyberpunk side decreased by 4 percent compared to the first quarter of 2025.

Hard Work for Future Projects

CD Projekt Red is currently working on new game projects. While a group of 513 people is working on The Witcher 4 project, a special team of 163 people continues to work on Cyberpunk 2.

The studio aims to keep the player base alive with the Songs of the Past DLC package and free Next-Gen update prepared for The Witcher 3.

What do you think about a game that still reaches such high sales figures after 11 years?
