Take-Two Interactive has taken a significant step in the GTA 6 leaks judgment following the leaks surrounding Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated game, GTA 6. The company has sent subpoenas to Microsoft and Discord to identify individuals who shared confidential information about early versions of the game. Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive are going through a difficult period due to the constant leaks of images and details from the game’s development phase. Leaked content includes the game map, honor system, melee mechanics, dialogues, and various creative elements.

New Developments in the Leak Investigation

In a request made through the Southern District Court of New York, Take-Two has requested all internal documents and records from both companies that will help verify the identities of the individuals responsible for the leak. The requested documents include all data related to the leaked content, including audiovisual materials, artwork, landscapes, and dialogues.

Microsoft was specifically asked to share its internal investigation records to identify the person or persons using the alias ‘cyberleek’. This request aims to uncover the identities of all users and entities associated with this alias.

Take-Two is requesting that Microsoft share its internal business records and all investigative data related to this persona. The company states that this data is critical to identifying the true identities of the leakers or the organizations they are connected to.

Data Requested from Microsoft and Discord

The subpoena requires Microsoft and Discord to submit all identifying information relating to specific user accounts by September 4th. This information includes registration emails, IP addresses used for login, phone numbers, and associated account information.

Additionally, user device identifiers and content related to GTA, Rockstar, or Cyberleek found in OneDrive accounts are also requested. Discord is specifically asked to provide records of all users who interacted on the servers.

The records requested from Discord cover servers associated with names such as ‘CYBERLEEK’, ‘CINEMATICROCKSTAR’, and ‘Surfer24k’. Furthermore, user activity on platforms such as ‘Ødyssey.gg’, the ‘Odyssey’ public trademark guild, and the ‘DarkViperAU’ editor server is also under investigation.

Take-Two’s comprehensive legal initiative demonstrates its commitment to resolving the leak crisis that has caused a major stir in the gaming world. The company continues to use all legal means at its disposal to identify those responsible for the leaks.
