Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro and Dimensity 9600 Pro Leaked

Leaked technical specifications and all the details about the 2nm architecture of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro and MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro processors.

The mobile world is witnessing an exciting development with details shared by Digital Chat Station, a reliable source of leaks in the technology world. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro and MediaTek’s new flagship Dimensity 9600 Pro chipsets have surfaced with technical specifications that have generated great interest.

These chips, which have not yet been officially announced, will be manufactured using TSMC’s new 2nm production technology, the N2P process.

Particularly noteworthy for their performance-oriented architectures, these hardware components appear to be setting the standards for future smartphones. Competition in the mobile processor market is poised to reach a new level with these new generation chips.

  • The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro and Dimensity 9600 Pro models will be manufactured using TSMC’s advanced 2nm N2P production technology.
  • Qualcomm will use two Prime cores exceeding the 5GHz barrier in its new generation processor.
  • MediaTek will opt for advanced Arm-based core architectures in the Dimensity 9600 Pro model.

Qualcomm Aims to Exceed the 5GHz Limit

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, with its model number SM8975, stands out and represents a revolutionary step in terms of processing power. Featuring an eight-core architecture with two Prime cores running at 5.01GHz, this chipset ushers in a new era for portable gaming and demanding workloads. With a 2+3+3 core configuration, this processor aims to surpass the performance data of the previous generation, the 8 Elite Gen 5.

On the graphics side, the Adreno 850 GPU unit comes into play. This three-slice GPU, with 18MB of graphics memory and 8MB of Last Level Cache, promises fluidity in high-resolution content.

Qualcomm is also preparing a more affordable option, a standard model codenamed SM8950.

MediaTek Makes a Difference with its ARM Architecture

On the MediaTek side, the Dimensity 9600 Pro model focuses entirely on the core architecture designed by Arm. According to leaks, this chip forms the main engine of the system with two Canyon cores reaching speeds of 4.55GHz. Additionally, high efficiency is targeted with a combination of Gelas-b and Gelas series cores.

One of the most striking features of the Dimensity 9600 Pro is the Arm G2-Ultra NX MC12 GPU unit. This graphics unit dedicates a portion of its total 16-core structure to AI-based gaming technologies for image scaling and frame rendering.

This strategic decision shows how much MediaTek relies on hardware accelerators to optimize gaming performance.

New Technologies Will Change the Mobile Experience

TSMC’s transition to the 2nm manufacturing process provides a significant advantage not only in speed but also in power efficiency. Both manufacturers aim to minimize device heating problems while increasing performance continuity.

In particular, Qualcomm’s LLC (Last Level Cache) optimizations and MediaTek’s tensor-based graphics accelerations will completely transform the gaming and content creation experience in next year’s flagship devices.

How close do you think these new generation processors, exceeding the 5GHz barrier, will get to desktop computers in terms of portable gaming experience?
