Samsung Galaxy M67 Seen on Geekbench

Samsung Galaxy M67 Seen on Geekbench

Samsung Galaxy M67 appeared in Geekbench tests with Exynos 2200 processor and 8 GB RAM. All the features of the new phone are here.

South Korean technology giant Samsung continues to expand its smartphone range without slowing down. The company, which recently introduced the Galaxy M47 5G model with Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor in the Indian market, is now setting its sights on higher performance.

New leaks appearing on the performance testing platform Geekbench show that Samsung is preparing to add a new model to the popular M series in the middle segment.

This new device, which is expected to be called Galaxy M67, is interestingly powered by Exynos 2200, one of the company’s past flagship processors.

What Does Galaxy M67 Geekbench Data Say?

A new Samsung device with the model number SM-M676K is listed in the Geekbench knowledge base, one of the safe leak sources in the smartphone world.Although the commercial name of the device is not clearly stated in the list, the order in the model number largely confirms that this device will take its place on the shelves as Galaxy M67.

When we look at the test results, we see that the phone achieved quite satisfactory scores for the mid-upper segment, such as 1,435 points in the single-core test and 3,744 points in the multi-core test.

The listing also contains important clues about the software and memory capacity of the device.

Galaxy M67 is supported by 8 GB RAM capacity, which has become standard in new generation smartphones. On the software side, it is noteworthy that the device comes out of the box with Android 17, the latest version.

This means that the phone will most likely be equipped with Samsung’s latest One UI interface. This phone, which will be positioned above the recently introduced battery monster Galaxy M47 model, targets performance-oriented users.

Former Flagship Processor Relegates to Mid-Segment

The most talked about feature of the new model on the hardware side is, of course, its processor. Samsung prefers to use the Exynos 2200 chipset codenamed “S5E9925” in the Galaxy M67 model. This situation sounds very familiar to technology enthusiasts, because the company first used this processor in the Galaxy S22 series, the top model that it launched in 2022, and then in the Galaxy S23 FE model.

The fact that a chip designed as a flagship at the time now powers the price-performance focused M series proves how seriously Samsung takes the competition in the middle segment.

Exynos 2200, which has an eight-core (1+3+4) architecture; It contains one high performance core running at 2.80 GHz, three performance cores running at 2.52 GHz and four efficiency cores running at 1.82 GHz.

On the graphics side, the Samsung Xclipse 920 GPU, based on the AMD RDNA2 architecture, works.

This GPU, which is one of the first graphics units to offer hardware ray tracing support on portable devices in its time, promises high frame rates and smooth gaming performance for portable gamers.

Will it be exclusive to South Korea only?

The letter “K” at the end of the “SM-M676K” model number in the Geekbench listing of the device indicates that this specific version is being tested for the South Korean market, Samsung’s home country.

However, when we look at past models and the brand’s strategy, we know that the company actively sells its M series devices, which stand out with their high battery capacity, mostly in India, Turkey and other market areas.

It will become clear in the coming days whether Samsung will bring this powerful hardware to the global market or whether it will use a different processor variant for different countries. The design of the device, camera model, battery details and official release date continue to remain a mystery for now.
