Capcom announced the production of the Resident Evil: Veronica game again. Details and platform information of the game, which will be released in 2027, are in our news.
Capcom officially announced the remake of one of the popular games of the survival horror series, known as part of the Summer Game Fest event. The company, which removed the phrase “code” from its brand new name, names the new project only as Resident Evil: Veronica.
An exact release date has not yet been given for the game. But Capcom plans to release the project in 2027.
Story and Details of the Game
Resident Evil: Code Veronica took place three months after the events of 1998’s Resident Evil 2. The story takes place simultaneously with Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, which was released in 1999.
At the center of the play are Claire Redfield and her brother Chris Redfield. The duo tries to survive a dangerous epidemic spreading on a remote prison island in the Southern Ocean and a research facility in Antarctica.
Capcom states that the new production will remain true to the classic spirit of the series. The company aims to completely redesign this experience for today’s players.
The first trailer begins with Claire Redfield entering a dilapidated apartment building in Paris. While Claire is trying to contact an old lady she encounters inside, she is started by a mysterious voice she hears. When he looks through the door hole, an unexpected surprise greets him.
Platform Basis and the Future of the Series
Resident Evil: Veronica will be released to gamers in 2027 on a wide range of platforms. Game; PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2can be played on.
Capcom’s last main game in the series was Resident Evil Requiem, which was released in February. This production, the ninth main game of the series, centered on the character of FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft.
Grace was investigating mysterious deaths involving individuals who survived the events of Raccoon City. During this investigation, he was accompanied by federal spy Leon S. Kennedy.
