After its launch in the Chinese market, Redmi Turbo 5 is now available to users in India. The device draws attention with its 7,540mAh capacity battery and MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra processor in its compact body.

The model introduced to the Indian market has almost exactly the same features as the Chinese version. The only difference between the two models is the slightly larger battery capacity of 7,560mAh in the Chinese version.

Screen and Hardware Performance

Redmi Turbo 5 has a 6.59-inch flat AMOLED display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate and 3,500 nits peak brightness. Offering 1.5K resolution, this screen promises high image quality.

The Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset, from which the device is powered, is supported by a 3D ice cycle cooling system with a 5,300 mm2 vapor chamber. On the performance side, the processor is paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 245GB UFS 4.1 storage unit.

On the photography capabilities side, the phone comes with a 50MP resolution Sony IMX882 main rear camera and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. On the front, there is a 20MP camera sensor for selfies and scenic calls.

Battery, Software and Sales Details

The device, which comes with a 7,540mAh battery in the Indian market, offers 100W wired fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging support. The phone, which comes out of the box with the Android 16-based HyperOS 3 operating system, will receive 4 years of software and 6 years of security updates.

The model, which has a metal frame, has an under-screen fingerprint reader, IP69K certification and RGB ring lights integrated into the camera module. The device also includes an infrared sensor and stereo speaker system.

Redmi Turbo 5, which comes in Asphalt Black, Nitro Blue and Turbo White color options, goes on sale on June 19 via Mi.com, Amazon India and selected retailers. The starting price is set at 37,999 INR for the 8GB/128GB model and 40,999 INR for the 12GB/256GB model.
