Razer Announces Street Fighter Themed Controller

Razer Announces Street Fighter Themed Controller

Razer introduced the Kitsune – Ryu Edition model, a new limited production arcade controller inspired by the Street Fighter 6 character Ryu.

Razer announced the Kitsune – Ryu Edition model, a limited production arcade controller inspired by Ryu, the iconic character of the well-known fighting game Street Fighter 6. This new controller, which stands out with its leverless structure, can be used on both PlayStation 5 and PC platforms.

Razer Kitsune – Ryu Edition comes with a completely button-based design with four different directional buttons instead of the joystick in classic arcade controllers. This structure appeals to players who want to perform faster and more precise command entries, especially in competitive fighting games.

Design and Technical Specifications

The new model is based on the technical infrastructure of Razer’s existing Kitsune platform and is presented with a special visual design that reflects Ryu’s character identity. The aluminum top plate, which features black and white colors, is complemented by red details produced with dye-sublimation printing technology.

The controller uses Razer Low-Profile Linear Optical Switches, which were specially developed for fast reaction times. In this model, which does not have standard 8-way joysticks, complex commands such as Hadoken or Shoryuken are given directly via the button sequence.

While the device comes with Razer Chroma RGB lighting support, users can easily manage the lighting effects through key combinations. While a removable USB Type-C cable is preferred on the contact side, there is also a built-in lock mechanism that prevents the cable from being removed during the game.

Developed for tournament players, Tournament Lock Switch allows you to disable non-essential buttons that can be accidentally pressed during the match. In addition, four different SOCD Cleaning modes that come with the 2.0 firmware update regulate the controller’s opposite direction inputs in accordance with tournament standards.

Sales and Compatibility Details

This limited production controller, introduced as part of the EVO 2026 Las Vegas event, is available for pre-order with a price tag of $ 319.99. The shipping process of the product sold through Razer.com and RazerStore channels will begin in July 2026.

The hardware is directly compatible with PlayStation 5 and PC devices. The device, which does not have a direct connection with PlayStation 4, can only be used in PlayStation 4 games running on PlayStation 5.
