PS VR2 Support Arrives in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

PS VR2 Support Arrives in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 gained PlayStation VR2 support. With the new update, performance increase and career mode improvements came.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, which debuted on the PlayStation 5 platform in December, has finally received the PlayStation VR2 support that players have been eagerly awaiting. With the update released on Thursday, users can take their flight experience to the next level by using virtual reality headsets.

The new update is not only limited to VR support, but also brings significant changes to the in-game interface. Players can now turn off the head-up displays in virtual reality mode, while keeping this feature active in 2D mode.

Performance and User Experience Improvements

Another innovation for PlayStation 5 users was the photo album feature. Screenshots taken are now saved directly to the console’s media gallery instead of the game’s own storage.

This update, developed by Asobo Studio, was actually a package planned to be released last week. However, on April 16, the team decided to extend the process a little longer to fix critical errors.

According to the update notes, hangups have been reduced, especially in large cities and complex airports. Frame rate increases are also among the innovations offered to players within the scope of performance improvements.

The newly added weather radar API allows aircraft developers to deliver realistic weather radars, including tilt function. This feature stands out as a very striking detail for flight simulation enthusiasts.

Career Modes and Ground Services Updated

The development team has made all career modes, including heavy aircraft and VTOL aircraft, fully accessible. In this way, players can fly in a wider range of careers with different types of aircraft.

Significant improvements were also made on the ground handling side, ensuring more reliable operation of the system. Even if a service such as catering becomes unavailable, other ground services such as baggage, fuel and bellows now continue to operate without any problems.

These arrangements minimize in-flight disruptions, making it easier for players to stick to the planned flight schedule. What do you think about these updates coming to the world of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024?
