Reddit user u/BransonArsen shared this experience, warning other users against similar scams. The user, who purchased the MSI Gaming RTX 5080 16G SUPRIM Liquid SOC model for approximately $1,400, expected to receive a genuine graphics card.

Details of the Scam

When the package arrived at the user’s address a few days later, instead of a graphics card, there was an ordinary vacuum mug inside the box. The mug was shipped in a generic package, not inside a random graphics card box.

The package also contained a brochure claiming the user’s order would arrive within a few days. The seller was trying to stall the user by offering this vacuum mug as a gift.

The brochure stated that the graphics card would be delivered in approximately seven days. Additionally, an email address was provided where the user could receive a full refund if they didn’t want to wait.
