Apple Removes Intel Support from App Store

Apple has given Mac App Store developers permission to remove Intel support for macOS 13 and later. Details of the Apple Silicon transition and macOS 27 are in our news.

Apple has officially announced that it may end support for Intel-based Mac applications published on the Mac App Store that require macOS 13 or later. In an email sent to developers, the tech giant stated that only ARM64-based Apple Silicon architectures will be available.

This strategic move is directly linked to the complete end of support for Intel-powered computers with the release of macOS 27 Golden Gate. Apple emphasizes that this change will allow developers to optimize application sizes and simplify their software development processes.

Developers Can Optimize Application Sizes
