Opera Android Browser Is Ready for the World Cup

Opera added new interface options to its Android browser with a special live score and statistics center for football fans before the World Cup.

Opera has released a new update for its Android browser, which is of great interest to football fans before the World Cup. With this update, users can access details such as live scores and match notifications much faster.

The company states that it took this step based on the results of the research it conducted with more than 77 thousand users. 86 percent of those surveyed say they plan to follow the tournament closely.

Special center for football fans

The new football center launched by Opera provides the opportunity to manage all competitions from a single point. Live scores, detailed statistics and match notifications can be followed instantly via this center.

The platform promises an experience that covers all 104 competitions in which 48 teams will compete. According to research data, 87 percent of participants plan to stay awake at night to watch their favorite groups.

For users in Türkiye, most of the matches take place between 05.00 and 07.00 in the morning. Opera is making significant changes to its interface to make it easier to follow matches in these early hours.

Renewed start page and personalization

Opera has completely redesigned the start page in its Android browser to provide a more fluid experience. The new design makes the transition between content and search experience smoother as soon as the browser is opened.

Quick access icons can now be displayed in round, square or cornered round forms, depending on users’ preferences. Additionally, the new weather shortcut added allows you to learn current weather conditions at a glance.

New shortcuts added to the browser with the update make it easier to switch directly to the AI Mode feature or start a private session. Users can continue to personalize the start pages according to their preferences.
