Sources close to the subject state that there is now a prevailing view within OpenAI that “chat is dead.” With this new strategy, the platform is aimed to become a center for revenue-generating coding tools and autonomous software spies.

OpenAI aims to increase its revenues and get ahead in its competition with its rival Anthropic, especially by focusing on corporate customers.
