Opel Combo to be Produced in Bursa: A New Era Begins with Domestic Production

Opel Combo, Production will begin at the Bursa Tofaş Factory in the third quarter of 2026. Technical specifications, sales success, and details of the domestically produced Combo are in our news report.

Opel continues to move its production line to Turkey with a strategic step. The Opel Combo, one of the most well-known models in the German automotive giant’s light commercial vehicle family, will begin production at the Tofaş Factory in Bursa from the third quarter of 2026. The new Combo, which will hit the roads with the “Made in Turkey” label, opens a brand new chapter in the brand’s production structure and localization strategy in Turkey. The inclusion of the Combo in the Bursa production program, following the Zafira, Vivaro, and Vivaro Van models, both strengthens the local supply chain and paves the way for a much faster response to market demands.

  • Domestic Production Initiative: Opel Combo will be produced at the Tofaş Factory in Bursa and will hit the roads with the “Made in Turkey” label by the third quarter of 2026.
  • Sales Success: With its sales figure of 15,722 units in 2025, Combo played a key role in Opel’s securing third place in the light commercial vehicle market in Turkey.
  • Advanced Technologies: Model; The Opel Visor stands out with its design, digital cockpit, and segment-leading Intelli-Lux LED Matrix Headlight technology.

German Engineering and Turkish Manufacturing Power Meet in Bursa

Opel’s connection with Turkey dates back many years. Having previously manufactured in our country, the brand is strengthening these ties once again with its new production drive at the Tofaş facilities in Bursa. The addition of the Combo to the domestic production line, following the Zafira and Vivaro families, provides significant advantages in operational processes. Increased efficiency in supply, logistics, and distribution processes allows both commercial users and families who prefer the passenger version to access vehicles much faster.
The decision for domestic production enables the brand to respond flexibly to market dynamics, while once again confirming the production quality of the Turkish automotive industry. German design and engineering discipline, combined with Tofaş’s high-standard production experience, is reflected in the vehicles rolling off the assembly line.

Sales Figures Confirm Combo’s Leadership

Strong sales figures are behind Opel’s rise in the commercial vehicle category. With a total of 27,471 light commercial vehicle sales throughout 2025, the brand has risen to the position of the third most preferred brand in the Turkish market. The lion’s share of this great success is taken by the Opel Combo, which alone reached a sales figure of 15,722 units.
The model maintains its momentum in the first seven months of 2026. The sales of 7,779 units and a 15% market share recorded during this period continue to make the Combo one of the top candidates in the C-Combivan segment. With the start of domestic production in Bursa, the shortening of supply times and the creation of cost advantages indicate that these sales figures will increase even further in the coming period.

40 Years of Legacy and Technologies That Stand Out in Its Segment

With a history of approximately 40 years, the Combo name is considered synonymous with durability and functionality in the light commercial vehicle world. Evolving over the years, the model has moved beyond being just a business-focused commercial vehicle, and with its spacious interior and passenger car comfort, it has become the first choice for large families.

Rich Equipment and Powerful Engine Options

Opel Combo has a contemporary look with the characteristic Opel Vizor front end, the brand’s new design language. The digital cockpit and driver assistance systems in the interior maximize driving safety and comfort. The Intelli-Lux LED Matrix Headlight technology, offered for the first time in its segment, distinguishes it from its Competitors by providing maximum visibility during night driving.
  • Equipment Levels: Three different package options are offered: Essential, Edition, and Ultimate.
  • Engine Performance: It starts with an efficient 1.5-liter diesel engine producing 130 HP.
  • Transmission Combinations: Depending on user preference, a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission is available.
The new Opel Combo, which will be produced at the Tofaş Factory in Bursa, is preparing to change the stability in the Turkish light commercial vehicle market with the competitive pricing and fast delivery options that domestic production will bring.
