Samsung has officially started software testing on the Android 17-based One UI 9 update for its popular smartphone Galaxy A25. The technology giant, which released the Android 16-based One UI 8.5 stable version for the Galaxy A25 last month, has now taken the software cycle of the device one step further and started the development phase of the new version.

This new structure, detected on Samsung servers with software version A256BXXUCFZF1, proves that the long-term software support of the device will continue.

However, users are not expected to see this update on their devices immediately, as Samsung is currently conducting its own internal testing processes.

One UI 9 Beta Process Progresses on Limited Devices

Samsung’s new software strategy shows that it is following a very cautious path in the distribution of the new interface. For now, the One UI 9 beta program is limited to only the Galaxy S26 series in the upper segment.
