Nvidia’s N1 and N1X Processors Leaked

Nvidia’s N1 and N1X Processors Leaked

The technical specifications of the new N1 and N1X processor family, which Nvidia is expected to introduce at Computex, have been leaked. Here are the details of the new generation processors.

Nvidia is preparing to introduce the N1 processor family, which has been talked about in the technology world for a long time, at the Computex event. Shortly before the event, technical details about the new series leaked to the internet.

According to leaks, Nvidia is focusing on two main models, N1 and N1X, appealing to different performance and price segments. These new chips represent the company’s re-entry into the laptop market.

Details of N1 and N1X Models

The standard N1 model is available to users with two different configurations. The 12-core model has 2,560 CUDA cores, while the 10-core model comes with 2,048 CUDA cores. Both variants offer 8x PCIe 5.0 and 3x PCIe 4.0 caps. On the memory side, LPDDR5X support up to 64GB and a power consumption ranging between 18W and 45W are noteworthy.

Aiming for higher performance, the N1X series offers two different options: 20-core and 18-core. The 20-core model promises significant graphics performance with 6,144 CUDA cores.

The 18-core model has 5,120 CUDA cores. These chips have a power envelope between 45W and 80W.

Expanded Memory and Contact Options

The N1X platform stands out with its LPDDR5X memory support, starting from 16GB and going up to 128GB. It is stated that the 16-channel memory structure can operate at 8,533 MT/s. In addition, this model allows the use of up to three M.2 SSDs thanks to 12x PCIe 5.0 and 5x PCIe 4.0 limits.

This move by Nvidia will enable it to compete directly with giants such as AMD, Intel and Apple in the laptop market. The N1X series is expected to target the price segment of $2,000 and above, and the N1 series is expected to target the price segment below $1,500.

The new processors are expected to be used in different areas such as handheld consoles and OEM computers.
