The South Korean manufacturer, one of the strong players in the sedan segment in the automotive world, has finally made its highly anticipated breakthrough. Unveiled as part of the Busan Auto Show new Hyundai Elantra(Avante, as it is known in its domestic market) managed to attract all the attention with its drastic shell change. The model, which sheds light on the future design language of the brand, opens the doors of a futuristic world by leaving classical lines aside altogether.

Futuristic Design and Expanding Dimensions

Shaped by the company’s new futuristic design ideology called “Art of Steel”, the car stands out at first glance with its sharp boundaries and aggressive stance. The body structure, where geometric forms and vertical design elements come to the fore, gives the vehicle the atmosphere of a concept model. Growing physically as well as visual innovations new Hyundai ElantraIt has a body architecture that is 55 mm longer (4,765 mm) and 30 mm wider than its current generation. This size increase not only makes the vehicle’s stance on the road more imposing, but also promises a visible relief between the knees and shoulders in the cabin.

The revolution in exterior design continues in the living area. Two large digital screens dominating the console take driving information and multimedia experience to the next level. At the heart of the system is the Android-based new generation “Pleos” entertainment interface. Hyundai did not completely surrender to the touch screen trend and continued to keep critical physical buttons on the console to protect driver ergonomics.

One of the issues that car lovers are most curious about is, of course, the future of this radical sedan in our country. The vehicle, which will go on sale first in the South Korean market in the third quarter of this year, will be available in global markets until 2027. However, the 1.6-liter efficient hybrid engine option, which produces 155 horsepower, is perfect to meet the demand for compact sedans in Türkiye. In order to maintain its strong position in the sedan market, Hyundai Assan is expected to bring the new generation Elantra to Turkey with this environmentally friendly hybrid engine in 2027.
