With the iOS 27 update that will be introduced soon, Apple is updating well-known iPhone applications such as Camera, Safari and Weather with new designs and features.
Apple is preparing to introduce the highly anticipated iOS 27 update at the WWDC event to be held in the coming days. This new version, which has created great excitement in the technology world, will bring about both small and comprehensive design changes in many well-known applications in the iPhone ecosystem.
According to leaks shared by Mark Gurman, Apple plans to make significant improvements throughout the interface to improve the user experience. With iOS 27, central applications such as Camera and Image Playground will undergo a significant visual revision, while basic tools such as Find My, Weather and Safari will also be made more functional. With the new operating system, users will be free to individualize their devices.
Camera and Image Playground Applications are Renewed
The most striking parts of the iOS 27 update will, of course, be the innovations in the Camera and Image Playground applications. To make the Camera application more user-friendly, Apple is making the software completely customizable. Users will now be able to determine the location of vehicles in the application according to their needs.
The new Siri mode to be added to the camera application will take visual intelligence capabilities to the next level.
Image Playground is being redesigned from top to bottom. In the application, where the gallery structure is completely changed, visual creation and editing processes can be managed much faster and more fluidly.
Find My, Weather and Safari Are Being Developed
Updates that are smaller in scale but will affect daily use will be reflected in the Find My, Weather and Safari applications. While the Find My application has a visual refresh with new icons in the tab bar, the Weather application will now show detailed data such as precipitation and wind in a single panel. Safari, on the other hand, offers a more efficient start page, switching to a four-tab structure that will make it easier to navigate between favorites, bookmarks, reading list and history.
Liquid Glass Design Language is Being Updated
Apple’s Liquid Glass design language will receive small but effective touches with iOS 27. The most important change will occur in the navigation tabs. The search feature, which was moved to a different corner in iOS 26, will be integrated back into the tab bar. This change is expected to become standard across Music, TV, Podcast, News and Wellness apps.
Integrating the search feature into the navigation bar will increase users’ accessibility within the application.
