Meta has officially released Muse Code, its coding-focused AI system developed with the goal of accelerating software development processes, following the beta phase which began on August 8th. Powered by the company’s Muse Spark 1.2 AI model, this terminal-based platform aims to lighten the workload of developers, especially in large-scale software projects.

Muse Code, which can be easily installed on macOS and Linux operating systems with a command-line tool, stands out with its advanced capabilities for writing code, verifying its own errors, and planning complex changes.

Muse Code Equipped with Advanced Features

Having successfully emerged from the beta process, Muse Code has gained new functional capabilities that differentiate it from its Competitors. Developed to increase efficiency, especially in complex projects, the multi-spy and multi-session support allows developers to have a more flexible working environment. The system incorporates inter-session messaging technology, which allows different sessions to exchange data with each other.

Also noteworthy is the rewind feature, which allows developers to easily return to previous work points in case of a bug or while working on a new idea. Thanks to the workflow system, large workloads in projects can be shared among multiple spies, making it possible to manage processes more quickly.

Developer Ecosystem Expanding

Meta announced that it has opened the Muse Code SDK to developer preview to expand the use of Muse Code. This step will allow developers to integrate their own tools and workflows with this AI system. In addition, new subscription models have been introduced to make the system more accessible to a wider audience.

The terminal-based structure of the service offers a highly efficient experience for developers accustomed to command-line tools. Persistent background processes continue monitoring the project even after the session closes, promising continuity for the developer. With this move, Meta aims to establish a strong position for itself in the software market, where strong Competitors like ChatGPT Codex and Claude Code are present.
