Xiaomi has added a new hand fan to its Mijia product range. The device, which entered the crowdfunding process through Xiaomi Mall in China, was offered for sale with a price tag of 169 yuan, or approximately $24.

Designed for outdoor use in the summer months, this portable device provides 250 cubic meters of air flow per hour. The fan provides cooling in open areas with its capacity to blow air up to 5 meters.

Advanced speed control and high performance

The most striking feature of the device is its system that offers 100 levels of speed adjustment. Users can precisely adjust the airflow according to their needs, from a gentle breeze to a powerful cooling mode.

This flexible structure makes the device suitable for use while commuting to work, camping, at concerts or while waiting outside. The high-performance DC motor can blow air at a speed of 8.5 meters per second, reaching up to 10,000 revolutions per minute.

Xiaomi smoothes the airflow thanks to the cross-flow fan and smart wind control algorithm placed inside the device. This technology aims to minimize sudden speed changes and noise during operation.

Long battery life and portable design

The device promises up to 40 hours of usage time on a single full charge with its 5000mAh capacity battery. The fan, which is charged via the Type-C port, also offers power bank support.

Thanks to the fast charging feature, only 10 minutes of charging allows the device to work for up to 4 hours. Weighing approximately 260 grams, the work can easily fit into a backpack and comes with a removable crossbody strap in the box.

The LED screen on it gives users instant information about the battery level and current wind speed settings. In addition, the slide switch on the device prevents it from accidentally starting in the bag or during storage.
