Massive Transfer from Türksat 3A to Next-Generation Satellites Completed

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Uraloğlu announced that broadcasts from Türksat 3A have been seamlessly transferred to the new generation satellites. Here are the details of the massive operation.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that on the night of August 15th to 16th, all radio and television broadcasts on the Türksat 3A satellite, which has been in service since 2008, were successfully transferred to the high-capacity next-generation satellites in the Türksat fleet.

Minister Uraloğlu emphasized that this massive transfer operation from Türksat 3A, which has completed its 18-year technological lifespan, was carried out flawlessly without any interruptions. This technical process, in which hundreds of across frequencies Turkey were simultaneously relocated, was managed with high engineering precision, enabling media organizations to move their broadcasts to a higher-quality technological infrastructure.

Minister Uraloğlu stated that intensive coordination work was carried out for a month to ensure that the transition process was completed without problems for both broadcasting organizations and citizens.

It was stated that thanks to the technical bridges established with television channels and radio stations, complex processes such as frequency changes were resolved without being reflected on the screens. This step, taken to provide contemporary solutions to the needs of the broadcasting sector, is valued as part of Turkey’s strategy to utilize its satellite technology capacity more efficiently.
