Technical details about Honor’s new smartphone series, which will be introduced at its event tomorrow, have become clear before the launch. The Honor Magic 9 series is preparing to meet technology enthusiasts with three different model options.

The series consists of the Magic 9, Magic 9 Pro Max, and Magic 9 Super Edition models with an 11,000 mAh battery. These devices stand out especially with their high-capacity batteries and advanced camera systems.

Technical Specifications of Magic 9 and Pro Max Models

The entry-level model, Magic 9, comes with a 6.37-inch flat LTPS screen offering 1.5K+ resolution. The panel’s refresh rate is 120 Hz.

The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The 8,000 mAh battery offers 80W wired and 50W wireless charging support.

On the front, there is a 55 MP square-shaped selfie camera, which Honor describes as a first in the Android world. On the back, there is a 200 MP main camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor.

The system is accompanied by a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 200 MP periscope telephoto camera offering 3.5x optical zoom. It is stated that a 1/1.56-inch sensor is used in the telephoto camera.

The Magic 9 is equipped with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for biometric security. The device features a dedicated AI button for artificial intelligence processes and a physical shutter button on its frame.

The phone, which has IP68, IP69 and IP69K certifications, is 8.49 mm thick and weighs 209 grams. The version with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage is priced at 5,999 yuan.

The higher-end Magic 9 Pro Max comes with a 6.8-inch flat LTPO display. In addition to the panel offering 1.5K+ resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate, the device is equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor.

The battery capacity has been increased to 8,800 mAh, and it supports 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. The main camera offers 200 MP resolution with a 1/1.28-inch sensor and 3-degree optical image stabilization.

The system is accompanied by a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle and a 200 MP periscope telephoto camera. On the front, there’s a 55 MP square selfie camera, and 3D facial recognition technology has been added.

The Magic 9 Pro Max comes with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, an X-axis linear vibration motor, and dual speakers. The device is 8.59 mm thick and weighs 233 grams.

Innovations with the Magic 9 Super Edition

The most striking model in the series, the Magic 9 Super Edition, carries a considerably high-capacity battery of 11,000 mAh. This model offers a 6.81-inch flat 1.5K+ screen and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

The device features a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor as well as an effective cooling fan. Charging options are configured as 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.

The camera system is more modest compared to other models, with a 50 MP camera on the front. On the back, there’s a 200 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 50 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.

The Super Edition model uses an optical in-display fingerprint reader instead of ultrasonic analysis. Despite the massive battery, the device stands out as the thinnest model in the series with a thickness of 8.1 mm and a weight of 227 grams.
