Oppo officially introduced the new Oppo Reno 16 series to increase its competition in the smartphone market. While the series announced in China includes the Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro models, the devices stand out especially with their improvements in camera, performance and battery.

While the new series attracts attention with the hardware it offers despite being in the middle-upper segment, it seems that Oppo aims to reach a wider user base with these models. Camera features are prioritized in this series, which was developed especially for users who love taking photos.

Advanced Camera and High Performance in One

The most striking feature of the Oppo Reno 16 series is the camera system. The triple rear camera system in both the standard model and the Pro model is supported by a 200 megapixel main sensor, 50 megapixel ultra wide angle camera and 50 megapixel periscope telephoto lens.

Thanks to this camera structure, significant improvements are made especially in zoom and low light performance, while the 3.5x optical zoom feature takes the user experience to the next level. On the front, there is a selfie camera with a resolution of 50 megapixels.

On the performance side, Oppo has included MediaTek’s new generation Dimensity processors. The Reno 16 model uses a Dimensity 8550 processor, and the Reno 16 Pro model uses a more powerful Dimensity 9500s processor. This ensures that the devices are quite sufficient for both daily use and gaming performance.

Large Battery and Fast Charging Feature

Another important advantage of the new Reno 16 series is battery capacity. While the standard model has a 6700 mAh battery, this price goes up to 7000 mAh in the Reno 16 Pro model.

While both models offer 80W fast charging support, the Pro model also has 50W wireless charging support. These features enable the devices to provide long-term use and short-term charging advantages.

On the screen side, the Reno 16 model comes with a 6.32 inch OLED panel and the Pro model comes with a 6.78 inch OLED panel. Both devices offer a 120Hz refresh rate, promising a smooth user experience.

As a result, the Oppo Reno 16 series appears as a smartphone series that stands out with its powerful camera system, high battery capacity and advanced performance. It is expected to be a very competitive option, especially for price-performance focused users.
