GTA Online Support Will Continue After GTA 6 Release

GTA Online Support Will Continue After GTA 6 Release

Take-Two Interactive has announced that GTA Online will continue after the release of Grand Theft Auto 6. Here are the details about the game’s future.

Take-Two Interactive has officially confirmed that support for the existing GTA Online will continue after the highly anticipated release of GTA 6. This statement is interpreted as meaning that a new online experience is now a distant possibility in the gaming world.

The company management stated that the existing online platform will continue to be supported after the release of Grand Theft Auto 6. This indicates that players’ commitment to the current platform will be maintained for some time.

GTA Online Support Will Continue

Important information regarding the future of the game was shared at the shareholders meeting held by Take-Two Interactive on September 17th. At the meeting, it was emphasized that Grand Theft Auto 6 is a single-player game and will be released in November.

Executives stated that the GTA Online support will continue after the release of GTA 6 and will continue for a long time. The current GTA Online remains a significant revenue source for the company.

The information that GTA 6 is designed as a single-player experience strengthens the expectation that an online mode will not arrive immediately after the game’s release. Rockstar Games is focused on keeping the current online platform alive.

The company’s statements prove that the current online platform is central to long-term plans. Players will not lose their current online experience when stepping into the world of Grand Theft Auto 6.

Expectations for a New Online Experience

Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier shared important details in an assessment of the GTA 6 pre-order process and revenue. Schreier stated that Take-Two management is not currently planning anything regarding a new GTA Online experience.

The company has so far avoided making any official statement about what a new online mode might look like. This suggests that an online production related to GTA 6 may not even be in the development stage yet.

In the past, the release of GTA Online shortly after the release of GTA 5 led players to have similar expectations. However, current statements reveal that this time the process may be very different.

Take-Two’s silence on the matter is giving rise to various theories among fans. Many users argue that a new online experience is a long-term project.

Possibility of a Standalone Productions

Speculation in the gaming world is focusing on the possibility that GTA 6’s online mode could be offered as a separate, priced production. Some players claim that this new experience could be released as a standalone game.

Those who support this view believe that Rockstar Games would want to dedicate all its resources and attention to this new online mode. It is being discussed that such a production could be offered with a price tag of $30 or higher.

Some users, however, express their concern that this new experience could be a full game experience costing $70. It has been confirmed that the game will be released on November 19th for PS5, Xbox Series X, and Series S platforms.

Time will tell how the balance in the gaming world will change with the release of Grand Theft Auto 6. Do you think GTA 6 should have a different and priced online mode, or should the current system be preserved?
