Getac ZX80 Series Brings Windows 11 and ARM Power to the Field

Getac announced its new ZX80W and ZX80W-EX rugged tablets. These devices, featuring Windows 11, ARM architecture and artificial intelligence, empower field operations.

Getac, one of the leading names in the rugged device market, introduced the new generation 8-inch fully rugged tablet series ZX80. ZX80W and ZX80W-EXUpdated with models. These new devices, built on ARM architecture, radically change field operations by combining the wide software ecosystem offered by Windows 11 with power efficiency and high performance.

Designed especially for defense, public services, logistics and hazardous industrial areas, these tablets attract attention with their fanless structure and lightweight design.

  • Full Compliance with Tough Conditions:The tablets, which have MIL-STD-810H and IP67 certificates, are resistant to drops from 1.8 meters and extreme temperature changes (-29°C to +63°C).

  • AI-Powered Edge Computing:Thanks to the 6th Generation Qualcomm AI Engine and Hexagon NPU, it offers real-time data processing and analysis even in areas where internet connection is limited.

The Bridge Between Field and Headquarters: Next Generation Mobility

With the ZX80W series, which Getac developed with the vision of moving corporate infrastructure to the field, it combines classical computer experience and the lightness needed by field operations in a single body.

Getac Technology Corporation President James Hwang points out that this development eliminates the disconnect between the center and the field in the digital transformation processes of organizations. These devices, which run on the Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC operating system, combine the Windows security that users are accustomed to with the portable practicality of Android devices.

Technical Equipment and Artificial Intelligence Capabilities

The Qualcomm QCS6490 platform, which is at the heart of the new series, optimizes the performance per watt, allowing the device to operate without the need for a cooling fan.

While this protects the internal mechanism of the device from external factors such as dust and moisture, it also significantly extends the battery life. Equipped with 12 GB LPDDR5 memory and 256 GB UFS storage unit, the tablets perform multiple tasks fluently.

The 6th Generation Qualcomm AI Engine, one of the most striking features of the devices, makes a difference especially in areas such as UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) flight controls and predictive asset management. This artificial intelligence basis, which reduces dependence on cloud-based systems, maximizes operational efficiency by enabling data processing to be done on the device (edge ​​computing).

Special Protection for Hazardous Environments: ZX80W-EX

Getac does not forget not only standard field employees, but also employees working in risky areas where explosive or dangerous gases may be present. ZX80W-EX modelWith its ATEX/IECEx Zone 2/22 certificate, it can be used safely in such strong areas.

Equipped with thicker screen glass, reinforced back cover structure and special port protections, ZX80W-EX offers portability with its 780 gram weight without compromising on security.

Both models eliminate the problem of screen brightness during outdoor work with display panels that provide high readability even in daylight. This new series, which will be launched in July 2026, takes industrial mobility standards to the next level.
