Qualcomm has officially announced the date of the Snapdragon Summit 2026 event, which the technology world has been eagerly awaiting. At this summit, which will take place on the Hawaiian island of Maui between 22-24 September 2026, new generation flagship processors are expected to be introduced.
It is anticipated that the high-performance Snapdragon processors that will be unveiled at the event will power the Galaxy S27 series and Galaxy Z Fold 9 series models that Samsung will launch next year. Department analysts emphasize that these new chips will redefine portable performance standards.

Processors are produced with 2nm technology

According to leaked information, both processors will go through TSMC’s advanced 2nm production process. While this technology increases the power efficiency of devices, it will also maximize process power.

Hardware Diversity is Offered in Samsung Devices
In line with Samsung’s own strategy, it is said that the Galaxy S27 and S27+ models will include the Exynos 2700 processor globally. It is known that this chip is supported by Samsung Foundry’s second generation 2nm production process and has a special design for efficient cooling. On the other hand, it is claimed that Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro will be preferred in the Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra models and the Z Fold 9 series.
Technical Specifications Meet Expectations
While the eight-core structure of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 reaches 4.4GHz, it is said that the Pro version will reach 5GHz. Equipped with the Adreno 850 GPU unit, the Pro model offers 18MB graphics memory support, promising high-level experience in games and heavy workloads. In addition, LPDDR6 memory support shows that these devices have a future-ready hardware architecture.
Qualcomm is also working on alternative solutions such as Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5XX Edition for devices that are not flagships but are in the high segment.
