Forza Horizon 6, the newest installment of the well-known racing series developed by Playground Games, has attracted great interest even though it is now in the early access stage. The game broke a new record with the number of players it achieved on the Steam platform, surpassing the previous productions of the series.

The production, whose official release date is set as May 19, 2026, can currently only be experienced by users who purchased the early access version. Despite this, the game managed to attract attention by reaching a significant player base on Steam.

170 thousand threshold exceeded in early access

Forza Horizon 6 surpassed the all-time high of 170,000 players on Steam. When this number is compared to Forza Horizon 5, which reached 81,096 players during its launch period, it seems that the new game has more than doubled the previous record of the series.

Forza Horizon 4, another important game of the series, peaked with 75,689 players about two years ago. Forza Motorsport, which focuses on racing simulation, broke its own record with 4,703 players about three years ago.

Received full marks from critics

The game received critical acclaim, receiving a very high score of 92 on the Metacritic platform. Experts especially praise the atmosphere of the game world in Japan, the improved two-way progression system and the quality of graphics.

Although some critics point out various points regarding the show activities in the game, the general picture looks quite positive. This positive critical momentum directly contributed to the increase in participation rates before the general release of the game.

Forza Horizon 6 will meet gamers on PC and Xbox Series X|S platforms on May 19. The PlayStation 5 version of the game is planned to be released later in 2026.
