From Software, the game studio behind successful titles like Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring, is continuing its work on its new project, The Duskbloods. This new game will be released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2 platform.

Previously announced with a short teaser trailer, The Duskbloods was introduced to the press at a special event this week. First impressions shared by those who had the chance to experience it provide valuable clues about the game’s mechanics and visual structure.

Gameplay and Competitive Mechanics

The released images show that The Duskbloods has a similar gameplay structure to Elden Ring: Nightreign. Offering a multiplayer experience, the game combines fast-paced PvPvE action with a strategic point-scoring competition.

The game promises a dynamic survival experience based on collecting Erden Points. In eight-player maps, players with the lowest scores are eliminated as the races progress.

Although there is only one winner at the end of the match, players can form continuous strategic alliances to advance through the races. This competitive structure is one of the most attractive elements that forms the basis of the game.

Uncertainty Regarding Release Date

From Software and Nintendo have not yet made an official statement about the game’s release date. The Duskbloods is expected to be on shelves before the end of this year.
