2K announced the cover stars for NBA 2K27, the new game of the well-known basketball series developed by Visual Concepts. Three important basketball names were preferred for different versions of the game.

San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama appeared on the Standard Edition cover, while Indiana Fever point guard Caitlin Clark became the face of the Deluxe Edition. Chicago Bulls legend Derrick Rose was honored in the limited-time Ultra Edition.

Three Different Versions and Content Details

NBA 2K Senior Vice President Zak Armitage emphasized the passion of these three names that changed the course of the game. Drawing attention to the unique influences of Wembanyama, Clark and Rose in the basketball world, Armitage stated that these names reflect the spirit of NBA 2K27.

Standard Edition will be released on September 4, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC platforms. This version, featuring Victor Wembanyama, offers players the basic experience of the series.

The Deluxe Edition, with Caitlin Clark on the cover, comes with the advantage of early access, which will start on August 28, 2026. This version includes 100,000 VC, various MyCAREER power-ups, special jerseys and MyTEAM content.

The limited periodic Ultra Edition is dedicated to Derrick Rose and can be purchased until September 6, 2026. In addition to the Deluxe Edition content, this special package includes advantages such as 35,000 VC, seasonal pass packages and special player cards.
