Financial technology giant Stripe is preparing to acquire OpenRouter, a platform that provides access to artificial intelligence models. According to a new report shared by Bloomberg, negotiations between the parties resulted in an acquisition agreement exceeding $7 billion.

The company, which raised $113 million in a Series B funding round in May, increased its valuation to $1.3 billion. This investment included significant investors such as Sequoia, Andreessen Horowitz, Menlo Ventures, and Alphabet’s Capital G unit.

The acquisition talks, which were brought to light by The Wall Street Journal last month, caused a great stir in the technology world. Now, according to information reported by Bloomberg, the parties have reached an agreement on a price exceeding $7 billion.
