Research company MoffetNathanson has prepared a new quality index to measure the performance of digital broadcast platforms. According to the first published results, Apple TV managed to rank ahead of Netflix in terms of content quality.

MoffetNathanson researchers developed a new quality measurement system, considering that watch time alone is not enough. This system evaluates the performance of platforms based on five different basic metrics.

Among the metrics in question, there are reputation indicators such as the time of day it is watched, content demand, franchise depth and awards. In addition, live sports broadcasts play an important role in this ranking.

In the prepared index, Disney was at the top of the list, well ahead of its competitors. HBO Max and Apple TV are in second and third place with very close scores.
