Apple AirDrop Support Comes to More Android Phones

Apple AirDrop Support Comes to More Android Phones

Google has expanded its AirDrop-like Quick Share support to Android phones like the Galaxy S26, Pixel 10, and more. Here is the full list of newly supported devices.

Google announced that it has expanded the list of support within the Quick Share – AirDrop integration, which facilitates document sharing between smartphones. This feature, which was launched last year and allows wireless information transfer between Android devices and iPhones, can now be used on a much wider range of smartphones.

Within the scope of the company’s 2026 expansion plans made at the beginning of the year, flagship models of leading brands such as Samsung, Google Pixel, HONOR, OnePlus, Xiaomi and OPPO were included in the system. With this update, users’ document sharing experience between different operating systems becomes more stable and accessible.

  • Quick Share and AirDrop integration has been activated on many next-generation Android devices, including the Samsung and Pixel series.
  • Google aims to further expand the system’s supported device network on a global scale by 2026.
  • File sharing support now includes popular models such as HONOR Magic V6, OnePlus 15 and Xiaomi 17T Pro.

Supported Device List Expanded Significantly

The strategic expansion carried out by Google is especially aimed at high-performance smartphone users. The list includes current and future devices such as the Galaxy S26 series, Galaxy Z Fold7, Pixel 10 family and OPPO Find X9.

This development removes the problems between ecosystems and allows users to transfer photos, images and documents in seconds.

The digital walls between different operating systems are being demolished significantly with this update.

A New Era Begins in User Experience

Wireless sharing technology, which was previously only available to limited devices, is now becoming a standard feature. Users will be able to quickly transfer information between devices without needing third-party applications.

This infrastructure, which provides great convenience especially for professional users and content creators, is considered as a part of Google’s vision of making the Android ecosystem more integrated.

The fact that flagship models of brands such as Xiaomi and OPPO are among the devices that will receive updates proves that Google’s collaboration strategy is not limited to its own devices. This process stands out as a concrete and very effective step against the modular structure in the Android world.

This collaboration of technology giants once again sets the data transfer standard among portable devices.

More Models Will Be Included in the System in the Future

This expansion process, which will last until 2026, is planned to include mid-segment devices. By optimizing the existing infrastructure, Google aims to enable high-speed document sharing even on low-end devices. Users can check whether new updates are available on their devices from the settings menu.
