Asus announced its new 24.5-inch OLED monitor developed for professional gamers as part of Computex 2026. This new model, called ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace, is described as a valuable step for the esports world.

The new monitor offers 1080p resolution and has a very high refresh rate of 540Hz. The device is also optimized for competitive games with 0.02ms reaction time and G-Sync support.

Esports-focused design and technical features

Asus uses tandem OLED panel technology with a two-layer structure in this model. This technology offers 15 percent higher brightness and 60 percent longer lifespan compared to standard OLED panels.

The company collaborated with global tournament organizers such as PGL and Blast and professional esports players during the development of the product. Designed in line with this feedback, the monitor is the first OLED screen included in the brand’s flagship Ace series.

The screen stands out with its 10-bit color depth and wide color range covering 99.5 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The monitor, which has VESA DisplayHDR 600 True Black certification, combines the high refresh rate advantage of TN panels with the color accuracy and viewing angle quality of OLED technology.

The new standard for competitive gaming

Although some users expect 1440p resolution, professional gamers prefer Full HD resolution to achieve high frame rates. Therefore, the 24.5-inch 1080p screen stands out as the ideal option for competitive gaming.

Asus has not yet shared any official price information or release date for its new monitor. The company is expected to announce these details in the coming days.
