Yandex Turkey has made a mark in the Turkish geographic services market by integrating Yandex AI into its Yandex Maps and Navi applications. This new feature takes the user map experience to a more interactive conversational structure.

Offered with Turkish and English language support, this innovation aims to facilitate users’ planning within the city. Instead of simply searching for a specific place name, users can now ask questions in natural language related to their daily needs.

Personalized route and place suggestions with artificial intelligence

Yandex AI technology analyzes user requests by combining map data, place descriptions, and user comments. In this way, the system can answer complex questions such as “Where can I go with the kids nearby this weekend?” or “What should I do if I have three hours around Galata?” Tourists, especially those unfamiliar visiting cities, can quickly find relevant offers even if they don’t know the place names.

Accessing this new feature within the application is presented with a very easy-to-use interface. Users can start a chat by tapping the Yandex AI icon next to the search bar or by using the “Ask Maps” option in the search menu. Additionally, the application can automatically detect complex search queries and direct the user directly to the chat interface.

Detailed planning and easy access

The chat screen that opens allows users to make their needs more specific. Users can narrow down the area they are searching, add time criteria, or prefer a quieter or more lively environment. Photos, user reviews, and other details of the selected places can be viewed directly on the location cards.

After users select a point they like, they can quickly create a route through the application by choosing their preferred method of transportation. This process allows users to manage all their needs, from the planning stage to the transportation stage, through a single platform. With this integration, Yandex aims to transform map usage habits into a more dynamic and user-centric structure.
