Xiaomi XRING O3 Processor Comes with a New Design

Xiaomi XRING O3 Processor Comes with a New Design

Xiaomi’s new XRING O3 processor appeared with 4.05GHz speed and 3 cluster architecture. Here are all the details of the processor expected to be used in Xiaomi 17 Fold.

Important details have emerged about Xiaomi’s highly anticipated new generation processor, XRING O3. Leaks in the Mi Code database have revealed striking information about the technical features of this new chipset, which was previously associated with Xiaomi 17 Fold (codename Q18).

Developed under the code name “Lhasa”, XRING O3 adopts a more optimized architecture, unlike the complex structure of its predecessor, XRING O1. This new chipset from Xiaomi is designed to maximize the multitasking experience, especially on foldable screen devices that require high performance, and promises significant speed increases.

  • Xiaomi XRING O3 processor is produced with an eight-core architecture consisting of three clusters instead of four clusters, unlike the previous model.
  • While the Prime cores reach speeds of 4.05GHz, the efficiency-oriented Little cores operate at a remarkable level of 3.02GHz.
  • Graphics unit (GPU) performance is boosted to around 1.5GHz clock speed, a significant increase over the previous generation.

XRING O3 Processor Adopts Three-Cluster Design

Xiaomi is abandoning the previously used four-cluster structure in the XRING O3 model and switching to a more efficient eight-core design. This new configuration allows Prime, Titanium and Little cores to work harmoniously.

In particular, the Prime cores exceeding the 4GHz threshold and reaching a frequency of 4.05GHz is considered an indicator of the serious increase in the raw power of the processor.

Titanium cores are optimized to run at 3.42GHz for high-performance tasks.

The change in efficiency-oriented Little cores surprised the technology world. These cores, which were at 1.79GHz in the XRING O1 model, were increased to 3.02GHz in the new generation. This huge difference seems to directly affect the processor’s capacity to manage background processes and multitasking performance.

Graphics Performance Increases Significantly

Not only the processor cores, but also the graphics unit are receiving significant improvements. Increasing the GPU speed from 1.2GHz to 1.5GHz will provide a smoother experience for games and high-resolution graphics applications.

On the memory speed side, maintaining the 9600 MT/s value proves that Xiaomi considers the current standards sufficient in this field.

On large-screen devices such as the Xiaomi 17 Fold, running multiple applications simultaneously has now become a standard. These speed increases offered by XRING O3 aim to ensure that the device operates without overheating or loss of performance even in intensive usage scenarios.

Although there remains uncertainty about whether the core sequence can be 1+3+4 or 1+2+5, it seems certain that the overall architecture will increase efficiency.

What do you think about this new processor architecture from Xiaomi? Do you think XRING O3 will be able to leave its competitors behind in the foldable phone market? Don’t forget to share your comments with us below.
