Xiaomi has accelerated its work on its new tablet family, the Pad 9 series. The appearance of the Xiaomi Pad 9 and Pad 9 Pro models in local certification processes in China confirms that the devices are nearing their market launch.
According to leaks, both models will feature 11.2-inch 3.2K resolution LCD screen panels. While the devices are expected to offer a high refresh rate, their battery capacities are also predicted to remain at 9,720 mAh.
Expected specifications for the Xiaomi Pad 9 series
According to the currently shared information, the Pad 9 and Pad 9 Pro will use an 11.16-inch 3.2K resolution LCD panel. Xiaomi is expected to market this screen as 11.2 inches. While there’s no difference between the two models in terms of battery life, the charging technology will differ. The standard model is expected to come with 45W wired charging support, while the Pro model aims for faster charging with 67W fast charging support.
In terms of performance, the two tablets will differ with different Snapdragon platforms. According to rumors, the Xiaomi Pad 9 model will feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, while the Pad 9 Pro model will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. With this strategy, Xiaomi will position the Pro model above the standard version in both charging speed and processing power. Both tablets are expected to come with Xiaomi’s new HyperOS 3 operating system out of the box.
Xiaomi Pad 8s Pro and launch schedule
It is also claimed that Xiaomi is working on another model called Xiaomi Pad 8s Pro in addition to the Pad 9 series in its tablet product range. This device is rumored to come with a 12.5-inch 3.2K LCD screen, a 12,000 mAh battery, and 120W fast charging support. Additionally, it’s stated that the device will be equipped with a 32-megapixel front camera, a 50-megapixel main camera, and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. Expected to use the company’s own Xring O3 chip, this model is rumored to be introduced alongside the Xiaomi 18 Fold in late August.
