This new flagship, developed with the code name “Hongkong” and the model number Q5, will come out of the box with the Xiaomi HyperOS 4 operating system. This device, which is highly anticipated in the Turkish market, represents a significant change in the brand’s global strategy.

Naming conventions in Xiaomi’s internal database show that the Q5 model number directly points to MIX 5. While the letter “Q” represents the launch period in 2026, it is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro processor.

The company, which has remained loyal to the naming system used in models such as MIX 2 and MIX 3 in the past, has now divided the 8 series into Flip models. This makes it clear that the Q5 code belongs directly to the main series, MIX 5.

The code name “Hongkong” symbolizes the high value given to this project in Xiaomi’s R&D department. The technical infrastructure of the device is designed to accommodate the most up-to-date and ambitious technologies of the brand.
