Xiaomi has passed its new generation foldable phone Xiaomi Mix Fold 5 and the Redmi Note 17 series models prepared for global markets through official certification processes. Mix Fold 5, model number 2608BPX34C, approved by the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), aims to strengthen the brand’s thesis in the foldable device market.
During the same period, Thailand’s NBTC institution approved the global versions of the Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max models, confirming that the devices will be released soon. These developments show that Xiaomi is preparing for an important product update in both upper segment foldable technologies and well-known mid-segment phones.
Xiaomi Mix Fold 5 Comes with Innovative Design
The new Xiaomi Mix Fold 5 is preparing to appear before technology enthusiasts with a larger form factor compared to its predecessors. It is assumed that the device will come with a 7.6-inch foldable screen and will be powered by Xiaomi’s own developed Xring O3 processor.
On the software side, it is among the leaked information that the phone, which is expected to work with the Android 17-based HyperOS 4 operating system, will be equipped with powerful technical features such as a 200 MP resolution main camera and a 6,000 mAh battery.

Redmi Note 17 Series is Preparing for Global Markets
Thailand’s NBTC certification gave the first official signals for the global distribution of the Redmi Note 17 and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max models. Redmi Note 17 Pro Max sets a high standard of durability in its class, especially with its 9,210 mAh battery and IP68 certification.


It is stated that the device will be available in the global market with various memory and storage options ranging from 8GB/256GB to 12GB/512GB. Although the standard version of Redmi Note 17 is very similar to the model in the Chinese market, it differs with a slightly smaller battery with a capacity of 7,700 mAh.
