Technical Specifications and Software Details
The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset developed by Qualcomm. This processor promises high performance with CPU speeds reaching up to 5.01GHz.
The same processor is also used in the Xiaomi 18 Pro model, another member of the series. The official announcement of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset is expected later this month.
The prototype model tested has 16GB of RAM. It is also possible that Xiaomi will offer different memory options when the device is released.
On the software side, the device is preparing to ship with the Android 17 operating system. This operating system will be accompanied by Xiaomi’s own HyperOS 4 interface.
Another noteworthy feature of the device is its improved rear screens. These screens aim to enrich the user experience with various AI-powered features.
Having a similar software infrastructure to other models in the Xiaomi 18 series aims to maintain ecosystem integrity. In particular, the AI integration in the rear screens seems poised to be one of the most talked-about innovations of the series.
