Which Processor Will Galaxy Z Flip 8 Come With?

The processor of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 model appeared in FCC records. It has been confirmed that Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 will be used in the US market.

An important detail about Samsung’s new generation foldable phone Galaxy Z Flip 8 has come to light. Documents published by the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) confirm critical information about the device’s processor preference.

According to the published official documents, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 model will be available to users in the US market with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. This development points to an important change in Samsung’s foldable device strategy.

Regional Differences Are Expected in Processor Preference

Samsung included its own Exynos 2500 chipset in its previous model, Galaxy Z Flip 7. This move was a turning point in terms of the company using its own processors for the first time in its foldable phones.

However, new FCC records indicate that the US version of the Galaxy Z Flip 8 model with code number SM-F776U Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5It solidifies that the processor will be used. The SM8850 model number included in the documents provides clear evidence about the hardware infrastructure of the device.

It is estimated that the versions with Snapdragon processors will not be limited to the USA only and will also be offered for sale in the Chinese market. In other regions such as Europe and South Korea, Samsung is expected to include variants with Exynos 2600 processors.

Strategic Dual Processor Approach

Samsung’s dual-processor strategy is important for the company’s cost management, especially considering the increasing RAM and storage costs. The Exynos 2600 chipset is considered to be more affordable compared to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 model.

Qualcomm signed processors generally stand out with their high CPU performance and graphics capabilities preferred by game enthusiasts. The Exynos series is positioned as a cost-effective alternative within Samsung’s own ecosystem.

The technology world is now eagerly waiting to see what kind of experience these devices, which have two different processors, will offer in terms of performance, battery life and camera quality.
