WhatsApp has released a valuable update that will radically change users’ iPad experience. Thanks to this innovation that came with iOS 26.25.74, users can now register their WhatsApp accounts directly on an iPad as the primary device. WhatsApp, which was previously only available as a complementary device, aims to offer a fully comprehensive connection experience to iPad users with this move.

This feature, which is gradually deployed, allows users to manage their accounts without being dependent on their phones. The new update creates a valuable area of ​​freedom, especially for those who adopt their tablets as their main working tool.

iPad Experience Becomes Full Version

Previously, using WhatsApp on the iPad depended on the “complementary mode” in which the phone was active. This caused many features such as live position sharing or workflows to be disabled.

Additionally, if the phone was inactive for 14 days, all contacts were automatically terminated. The new primary device environment eliminates these restrictions, turning the iPad into a standalone WhatsApp hub.

Now users can use their iPad as the main hub of the account, rather than an extension of their phone.

The Installation Process Proceeds According to Standards

Those who want to use the iPad as their primary device can make the call by entering their phone number, just like on a smartphone.

The process is completed with the 6-digit verification code received. If users have previously created a Passkey, thanks to this technology, they can complete the pass much more quickly and safely without having to wait for the code.

Independent Use Offers Advantages

This update provides great convenience, especially for users whose phones are broken or whose tablet is their main working tool. Since restrictions such as the 14-day activity period of the device are eliminated in primary device mode, an uninterrupted connection experience becomes possible.
