007 First Light system requirements have been updated. While Ultra settings requiring RTX 5080 and 32 GB RAM attracted attention, the RAM requirement was reduced to 16 GB with optimization efforts.
This new list reveals not only the visual quality of the game, but also IO Interactive’s optimization efforts on its own Glacier engine; It covers a wide range of hardware, from 1080p to 4K 200+ FPS. Pointing out NVIDIA’s new generation monster RTX 5080, especially for the “Ultra” settings at the top of the list, has already excited PC gamers.
RAM Discussion Ended:It has been proven that the optimization was improved by reducing the 32 GB RAM requirement recommended in the first place to 16 GB up to the “Enthusiast” level.
RTX 5080 and DLSS 4.5 Power:In order for the game to exceed 200 FPS at 4K resolution, an RTX 5080 graphics card and DLSS 4.5 technology are required.
New Generation Technologies:DLSS 4.5 and dynamic framing support will be available on launch day, but Path Tracing and Beam Reconstruction features will be added in the summer.
We Will Witness the Birth of James Bond
007 First Light follows a different path from the James Bond games we know. Transferring its experience in the Hitman series to this project, IO Interactive tells us the story of a 26-year-old young and inexperienced Bond.
The character, played by Patrick Gibson, transfers from the Royal Navy to the ranks of MI6 and works hard to earn the legendary “00” status. The story flow of the game is based not only on action, but also on the events that shape Bond’s character and the relationships of iconic characters such as M, Q and Moneypenny with their younger selves.
Visual Feast with Glacier Engine
On the technical side, the game uses the latest version of IO Interactive’s proprietary Glacier engine. The developers claim that with “007 First Light” they offer a volumetric smoke system and fully dynamic global lighting technology that has never been seen before in the gaming world. These visual details are especially evident in the Ultra settings in the leaked PC requirements. While the PC version of the game comes with unlimited frame rate support, high-level performance is also targeted for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S users on the console side.

Gameplay Dynamics: Spy or Assassin?
IO Interactive clearly reveals the identity of the game by saying, “This is not a Hitman copy.” Bond acts more like a spy than an assassin. Gathering information, eavesdropping and achieving the goal by using environmental factors are prioritized. However, the game doesn’t just confine players to stealth. It is possible to breathe a modern Uncharted or God of War atmosphere in the action scenes.
The gameplay is based on four main pillars; It blends elements of Spycraft (espionage abilities), Instinct (reflexes and intuition), Gadgets (Q’s technological toys) and Combat (melee and gunfight). In addition, for the first time in the history of the series, vehicle driving mechanics that can be controlled by the players have been included in the game. It is worth noting that the studio has recruited special driving experts to drive iconic vehicles such as the Aston Martin Valhalla.
