DOF Robotics is establishing Turkey’s first integrated humanoid robot factory, DOF TECH, in Istanbul with an investment of 25 million dollars. Production capacity quadruples.
Highlights of DOF TECH investment:
Huge Capacity Increase:With an investment of 25 million dollars, the company’s current production area of 4,000 m² is increased to 16,000 m²; Thus, it is aimed to increase the total production capacity by 4 times.
Fully Integrated Production:All production processes, from design to R&D, from software to painting and assembly, will be managed end-to-end under a single roof.
Humanoid Robot Vision:The company aims to transfer its experience in AGV, AMR and artificial intelligence-supported service robots to the production of humanoid robots with the signature “Made in Turkey”.
Strategic Position and Logistic Advantage
Northern Marmara Special Industrial Zone, where DOF TECH will be established, is not only an industrial area, but also the logistics heart of Türkiye. This strategic region, located 16 km from Istanbul Airport, 2 km from the Northern Marmara Highway and 41 km from Ambarlı Port, offers a significant advantage in the distribution of produced technologies to the world. With the factory it established in this region, DOF Robotics also prepares space for its future growth vision by becoming a partner of the regional cooperative.
From R&D to Mass Production: Robots with the Signature “Made in Türkiye”
DOF Robotics Board Leader Mustafa Mertcan defines this initiative not only as a factory investment but as a step that expands Turkey’s vision in technology exports. It is a great excitement that the R&D studies that have been going on for many years will turn into humanoid robots in the hands of Turkish engineers.
The company is preparing to integrate its expertise, especially in autonomous portable robots (AMR) and artificial intelligence-supported systems, into the prototype production processes of humanoid robots. In the first stage, prototype processes will be started, and then mass production will be started with the increased capacity. This is considered a harbinger that Türkiye will take on a much more aggressive role in the global robotics market with its “manufacturer” identity.
Great Opportunity in the Global Market
The global service robots market predicts massive growth in the coming years. Information indicates that the market volume will exceed 73 billion dollars by 2028 and the annual production volume will exceed 60 million units. DOF Robotics aims to take a share from this huge cake with its “Made in Turkey” products and to bring its domestic production infrastructure to global standards.
The eyes and ears of the technology world are now on this giant center that will rise in Istanbul. Combining domestic engineering and innovation, DOF TECH opens a new page in Türkiye’s industry 4.0 journey.
