Edifier introduced the new Auro Ace model with a dot-matrix display on the headphone cover. Here are the highlights of the affordable headset.
While headphone designs mostly adhere to conventional patterns, Edifier follows a different path with its new product. The company launched the Auro Ace model, which has a dot-matrix display on the headphone cover, in the Chinese market.
This device, which was released with a price tag of approximately 40 dollars, stands out as a budget-friendly option. The product is positioned as an accessory rather than a standard audio device, with visual customization opportunities.
Auro Ace Technical Details and Design Features
The most striking hardware feature of the device is the dot-matrix panel integrated directly into the headphone cover. This screen can project real-time musical lyrics and sound spectrum animations via Bluetooth connection.
Users can bring their own text, pixel art and graphics to the screen via a special application. Edifier also adds various built-in themes to the device to adapt to different outfits or preferences.
On the physical structure side, Auro Ace aims to reduce the pressure on the head during long-term use with its light weight of 130 grams. The design features an adjustable hidden headband, a rotating joint structure that adapts to different head structures, and soft ear cushions.
The product is offered to users with three different color options: silver, black and gold. The inside of the headset includes 32mm dynamic drivers and a post-acoustic cavity design.
Connection, Battery and Additional Features
Offering Bluetooth 6.0 support on the connection side, Auro Ace has multi-point support that can connect to both the phone and the laptop at the same time. For users who prefer wired connection, there is a plug-and-play USB audio support.

Battery life reaches up to 62 hours with the dot-matrix screen turned off and the volume at 50 percent. Thanks to its fast charging support, the device offers approximately 11 hours of playback time with 15 minutes of charging.
Edifier also includes noise canceling technology for phone calls. There is also a shortcut feature that triggers the smartphone’s camera shutter when the power button is double-pressed.
