Organized by Tüyap Tüm Fuarcılık Yapım A.Ş., in cooperation with the Machine Tools Manufacturers and Businessmen Association (TİAD), and with the support of the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey and the Machinery Manufacturers Association (MİB), MAKTEK Eurasia 2026, the 9th International Machine Tools, Metal – Sheet Metal Processing Machines, Holders – Cutting Tools, Quality Control Measurement Systems, CAD/CAM, PLM Software and Production Technologies Fair, brings together global players of the sector in Istanbul.

The opening ceremony of the fair brought together leading representatives of the industry and production sector. The opening was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), Mr. Kutlu Karavelioğlu, Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISO) Assembly President Mr. Ender Yılmaz, Turkish Machinery Federation (MAKFED) High Advisory Council President Mr. Adnan Dalgakıran, Machine Tools Manufacturers and Businessmen Association (TİAD) Board Chairman Mr. Murat Akyüz, Machinery Manufacturers Association (MİB) Board Chairman Mr. Osman Fatih İğrek, Tüyap Fairs Construction Inc. General Manager and Turkish Fair Producers Association (TFYD) Board Chairman Mr. İlhan Ersözlü, and leading representatives of the industry sector attended.

At the opening, attention was drawn to the role that MAKTEK Eurasia plays in increasing the international visibility and export capacity of the Turkish manufacturing industry, supporting access to new markets, and developing new business relationships.

Emphasis on MAKTEK Eurasia from Sector Leaders

Tüyap Fairs Construction Inc. General Manager and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Fair Organizers Association (TFYD), İlhan Ersözlü , stated that the scale reached by the fair demonstrates the strong interest of the sector in technology and investment, and said:

“MAKTEK Eurasia continues to grow and becomes a very valuable platform and meeting point. This year, 156 foreign companies have directly participated. This further increases the international strength of the fair. Because here, there is an opportunity to reach not only the Turkish market but also the Eurasian geography. In the fair, which is held in 14 halls and an area of ​​120,000 m2, machines and technologies used in different sectors are exhibited. Technologies needed by many sectors, from the defense industry to the automotive industry, from plastics to agriculture, are here, together new generation technologies that will shape the future of production with our visitors. , Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Machinery Manufacturers Association (MİB). He stated that MAKTEK Eurasia is one of the valuable meeting points of the machinery sector and that the fair is important for following new technologies, shaping investment decisions, and developing commercial collaborations. İğrek stated:

“The Turkish machinery industry continues to strengthen its position in global markets by enhancing its production power with technological competencies. In addition to mechanical production capabilities, software, automation, digitalization, data usage, and artificial intelligence are becoming integral modules of machines. TİAD Board Chairman Murat Akyüz

in his speech drew attention to the strategic importance of MAKTEK Eurasia in terms of the sector and said the following:

“MAKTEK Eurasia is now not only one of the valuable meeting points of TİAD and Turkey, but also of Eurasia and the world, a global brand. MAKTEK Eurasia 2026, which we are opening its doors to today, is more than just a fair where machines are exhibited; it is a strategic showcase where we show the technological maturity, production power and global competitiveness argument of Turkish engineering to the world. In this era where the balances in the global industry are being reformed, the world of production is also undergoing a valuable transformation. Now, not only mechanical power but also artificial intelligence, digital integration, automation and autonomous systems are determining the future of production. MAKTEK Eurasia 2026 is at the center of this transformation and brings the production technologies of the future to our industrialists today. The new products exhibited at our fair this year “Next-generation technologies, high efficiency, and sustainable production solutions enhance the competitiveness of our domestic manufacturers in global markets, while also creating a valuable foundation for new export opportunities and strategic collaborations. Adnan Dalgakıran , Chairman of the High Advisory Council of the Turkish Machinery Federation (MAKFED), stated that the pace of technological transformation in the world is increasing rapidly, and that manufacturers should focus not only on their production capabilities but also on their ability to foresee change, differentiate themselves, collaborate, and organize. Emphasizing that possessing high-tech machinery alone will not provide a competitive advantage in the new era, Dalgakıran stated:

“The pace of change in the world is accelerating. Our most valuable asset in the face of this change is our ability to adapt and foresee the future. Even if we cannot be among those who bring about change, we must be among those who adapt to it most quickly. Simply producing is no longer enough; we need to think about how we will make a difference. You can buy the most advanced machinery, but you must consider how you will create a difference when everyone else has the same machinery in three years. For this, we need to improve our organizational and collaboration skills, and establish a new ecosystem that brings together qualified human resources and experts from different fields. MAKTEK Eurasia is a valuable platform where new technologies and production tools meet users. The machinery sector is not just about producing machinery; the technological products we develop here will also increase the competitiveness of other sectors of Turkey.”

Ender Yılmaz , Chairman of the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (İSO) Assembly, also drew attention to the importance of qualified human resources, as well as access to finance and labor costs, in maintaining the competitiveness of the industry, and said the following:

“No matter how many robots, technologies and smart systems we include in production, it is not possible for these to be sufficient if we do not have strong capital and a flawless workforce. One of our most valuable inputs “If we cannot strengthen human capital, if we cannot train flawless people, the investments we will make will be insufficient. At this point, we need not only new investments but also the protection of our existing businesses. We must definitely protect our human resources and production dynamism.”

, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), in his speech at the opening, spoke about the transformation in global trade, Turkey’s competitiveness in the machinery sector and the high added value of the sector. Drawing attention to the valuable production potential, he stated that machine cutting holds a strategic position in Türkiye’s exports. Noting the increasing share of services alongside the rise in global merchandise trade, Karavelioğlu said:

“Machine cutting continues to be one of Turkey’s most competitive sectors. It holds a significant share in our high and medium-high technology products. Our machine department is achieving an increasingly comprehensive service mix with product design, engineering, manufacturing, operation, and after-sales services. The cost of technology development is obvious, but the benefits are high. Of the 6,600 products exported from Turkey, 972 are related to machine cutting. Therefore, we need to leverage our potential in machine cutting more strongly at the forefront of the areas that will increase Turkey’s competitiveness.”

30% Increase in International Visitor Interest

The number of participating companies and representatives has exceeded 1,300, while the number of foreign participants has reached 156.

MAKTEK Eurasia continues to be an international meeting point this year with direct participation from different regions of the world. Participation is taking place from countries including Germany, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Bulgaria, China, France, South Korea, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Italy, and Taiwan. According to online ticket information, a 30% increase in the number of foreign visitors has been recorded compared to the 2024 edition.

Over 200 international buyers from 18 countries at MAKTEK Eurasia

As part of MAKTEK Eurasia 2026, the Hosted Buyer Program is hosting over 200 international buyers and purchasing delegation representatives from 18 countries at the fair.

Purchasing delegations from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Algeria, Morocco, Georgia, Iraq, Iran, Montenegro, Kosovo, Lebanon, North Macedonia, Egypt, Uzbekistan, Russia, Serbia, Tunisia, and Jordan will have the opportunity to closely examine new technologies and production solutions and establish direct contact with participating companies throughout the fair.

In addition to the guided exhibition types to be held within the scope of the program, a Networking Meetup will be held in Hall 3 Hosted Buyer Lounge between 14:00 and 16:00 on September 29th, bringing together participating companies and international buyers.

New products and technologies for the first time at MAKTEK Eurasia

MAKTEK Eurasia 2026 brings together technologies from different areas of the manufacturing industry under one roof, from machine tools to metal and sheet metal processing machines, from cutting frames to quality control and measurement systems, from CAD/CAM software to robotics and automation solutions. Among the 1,208 machines, 132 robots and thousands of pieces of equipment registered within the scope of the fair, there are many new generation solutions introduced for the first time in Turkey.

Machine tools, 5-axis machining centers, CNC lathes and machining centers, laser cutting and welding technologies, quality control and measurement systems, cutting groups and frame holders, CAD/CAM and production software, robotics and automation systems, and AI-powered technologies are among the prominent product clusters of the fair.

MAKTEK Eurasia 2026, with the aim of strengthening its international visibility, is bringing the technology and production power of the participating companies to the global production world through its collaboration with MTD CNC.

In the three-day special production workshop to be held within the scope of the collaboration, the technologies, products, and production analyzes of the participating companies will be recorded with professional video content. The prepared content will be delivered to production professionals in different parts of the world through MTD CNC’s international digital broadcasting channels. Thus, the aim is to maintain the international visibility created at the fair even after the fair ends and to support the access of participating companies to global markets.

The MAKTEKVERSE Experience Area, created in Hall 12A within the scope of the fair, brings visitors together with the future of manufacturing technologies. Offering the opportunity to experience the factories of the future with VR glasses and simulation tools, the area features interactive shows with humanoid robots and introduces visitors to smart fair technologies.

In the MAKTEKVERSE Robot Show area, robot dance shows, Unitree humanoid robot and robot dog performances offer visitors an interactive technology experience.

The MAKTEKVERSE Stage focuses on the future of the sector as well as its present.
