Tesla is making it official that it will not keep its presence in the Turkish market limited to electric cars only. According to the new decisions published in the Trade Registry Gazette, Tesla Motors Sales and Services Limited Company is radically expanding its areas of activity in Turkey. The company’s updated contract includes many new milestones, from humanoid robots to solar power systems, from data centers to taxi services.

Big Change in Tesla Türkiye Contract

Tesla, which has achieved a significant sales chart in the automotive market with the Model Y versions it offers in Turkey, is making a strategic move for the future. The new registered “Purpose and Subject” of the company shows that Elon Musk’s global vision will be fully integrated into Türkiye.

With the official change, the company is preparing not only to import and sell electric vehicles, but also to bring its products in the field of artificial intelligence and renewable power to Turkey. The most striking element among the elements is that the phrase “humanoid robots / robotic systems” has been clearly added. This situation makes it clear that the Turkish market is also targeted for Optimus, the famous humanoid robot that Tesla is working on.

Humanoid Robots and Power Systems Become Official

Renewable power is one of the projects that Tesla values ​​​​most on a global scale. According to the new contract text in Türkiye, the company; It will import, distribute and sell solar panels, solar electricity systems, potential power storage systems (such as Powerwall and Megapack) and charging stations.

Not content with this, the technology giant also assumes the authority to establish and operate data centers in Türkiye, host servers and develop cloud services. This move strengthens the possibility of establishing a local information infrastructure in Turkey for Tesla’s advanced autonomous driving systems and artificial intelligence networks.

Taxi Services and New Business Models

Another striking detail in the contract is the term “providing taxi services”. It seems that the driverless taxi network, which Elon Musk has been focusing on for a long time and named “Robotaxi”, has already been included in Turkish legislation. The company has the right to offer transportation services with autonomous or electric vehicles in Turkey, upon obtaining legal permissions in the future.

In addition, according to the documents, the directorship of Kenneth Erni, one of the managers who has been working in the company for a long time, is ending. This management change signals that Tesla Türkiye is going through a new restructuring that will focus on new areas of activity. Second-hand vehicle buying and selling, expertise and exchange activities are among other issues that will increase the operational power of the company.
