Sony announced the RX10 Mark V model, a new generation all-in-one camera with artificial intelligence-based Real-Time Recognition AF feature and 25x optical zoom. The device attracts attention with its 4K 120p image and high battery life.
High Optical Zoom Range:The device comes with an ultra-wide aperture ZEISS® Vario-Sonnar T* 24-600 mm F2.4-4.0 lens capable of 25x optical zoom.
Artificial Intelligence Assisted AF System:Thanks to its advanced artificial intelligence processing unit, it instantly tracks people, animals, birds, insects and vehicles with autofocus (AF) with Real-Time Recognition.
Enhanced Video and Powerful Battery:Offering 4K 120p high frame rate image recording, the camera offers 50 percent longer shooting life compared to the previous generation with the NP-FZ100 battery model.
Legendary ZEISS Lens and Powerful Hardware Combination
Sony RX10 Mark V is powered by a 1.0-type stacked Exmor RS™ CMOS image sensor with a resolution of approximately 20.1 effective megapixels. This powerful sensor is accompanied by the BIONZ XR™ landscape engine, which Sony also includes in its current flagship mirrorless cameras. The synergy created by this duo minimizes noise (noise) even at high ISO sensitivities, especially in harsh shooting conditions such as indoors and low-light environments.
The integrated ZEISS® Vario-Sonnar T* lens, the camera’s biggest trump card, provides unmatched flexibility, extending from 24 mm wide angle to 600 mm spectacular telephoto. Not forgetting the macro enthusiasts, Sony allows shooting from a very close range of 3 cm at 24 mm focal length, while in 600 mm telephoto mode it opens the door to producing impressive tele-macro frames from a distance of 72 cm. In addition, when the 1.0 type large sensor and wide aperture come together, an extremely soft and smooth bokeh (background blur) effect is achieved in the background.
Creative Control Directly In Camera
Wanting to ease the burden of post-shooting editing on photographers, Sony includes 12 different Creative Look presets in the device. Users can personalize these modes according to their own tastes and capture the color tone they want the moment they press the shutter button. The updated D-Range Optimizer (DRO) technology prevents loss of detail by naturally illuminating shadows in portraits exposed to adverse light, with its adjustment range expanding to Lv8 level.
Perfect Focus with Artificial Intelligence Processing Unit
The biggest breakthrough that distinguishes the RX10 Mark V model from the previous members of the series is the artificial intelligence processing unit it contains. Real-Time Identification AF system; It can instantly detect animals, birds, insects, cars, trains and planes, as well as the human body, face and eye. Thanks to human pose assumption technology, artificial intelligence does not stop tracking even if the subject turns his back or his face is covered with accessories such as a helmet and sunglasses.
Pushing the limits in terms of speed, the device performs AF/AE (Auto Focus / Auto Exposure) calculations up to 60 times per second. Capable of shooting uninterruptedly and blackout-free at up to 30 frames per second with full AF/AE tracking enabled, the camera does not let the user down in moments where split-seconds are important, such as predatory life and sports events. In addition, thanks to the Continuous Shooting Speed Boost function, the burst shooting speed can be instantly changed with a single button while shooting.
Advanced Video Capabilities for Cinematic Shots
For video producers, the RX10 Mark V serves as a compact cinema camera. Offering recording support at 120p high frame rate at 4K resolution, the model allows producing smooth slow-motion images up to 5 times. The Active Mode image stabilization system, which minimizes shakes in handheld action shots, significantly reduces the need for a gimbal.
The artificial intelligence support also shows itself in the image and automatically keeps the object being shot at the center of the screen with the Auto Framing function. Users can transfer up to 16 of their own LUT documents to the camera, which supports S-Cinetone™ and S-Log3 color profiles for post production processes.
Professional Ergonomics and Powerful Battery
The body, which carries the design line of the Sony Alpha mirrorless camera family, offers an intuitive usage experience. A larger Quad-VGA OLED electronic viewfinder with approximately 3.68 million-dot resolution and a 1.62-million-dot 3.0-type LCD screen make composing easier. RX10 Mark V, which has a dust and moisture resistant body architecture, comes with NP-FZ100 high capacity battery. Thanks to this battery, approximately 630 frames of photography can be taken on a single charge, which means an increase of more than 50 percent compared to the old generation. Finally, the device, which can be connected directly to the Creators’ App cloud ecosystem via Wi-Fi and USB Type-C, fully meets the expectations of modern broadcasters with its 4K 30p live broadcast support.
