We examined the new Siri AI and Apple Intelligence features introduced by Apple at its September 9th event, the innovations coming with the iPhone 18 Pro, and the language support.
Apple shared its significant innovations in artificial intelligence as part of its September 9th event. The company particularly highlighted Siri AI, the new generation of Apple Intelligence models, and advanced on-device AI features running on the iPhone 18 Pro.
One of the most valuable features of the new Siri AI is its ability to understand personal context. Siri can analyze what the user is searching for by using data from Mail, Messages, Photos, and other applications.
New Capabilities of Siri AI
Siri can find a reservation previously sent via email or extract necessary information from a conversation in the Messages app. Apple states that Siri can also perform operations in third-party applications.
Siri AI is not limited to voice commands. Users can also chat with Siri by typing, and the company offers a separate Siri application for this purpose.
The Siri app can sync past conversations between devices via iCloud. Apple is also integrating Siri into the Camera app.
Users can point the camera at an object or environment and ask Siri questions about it. In some cases, Siri can directly take action.
Thanks to Siri’s screen awareness, questions can also be asked about the content on the screen. Siri’s tone and speech power are also being updated.
It is stated that the iPhone 18 Pro uses Apple’s most advanced on-device AI model to date. This model allows Siri to create more natural and expressive voices.
In addition to choosing Siri’s voice, users can also adjust the speaking speed and expression level. The AI model also increases the accuracy of the dictation feature across the device.
Language Support and Usage Limitations
Apple previously introduced this technology as part of the Siri AI architecture. The question of whether Siri AI will be available in Turkish remains a matter of curiosity.
According to the list shared by Apple, Apple Intelligence has Turkish support. In addition to Turkish, numerous languages are supported, including German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Vietnamese.
However, this does not mean that Siri AI is currently available in Turkish. According to Apple’s schedule, Siri AI is currently available as an English beta.
French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish support will arrive in October. No official release date for Turkish Siri AI has been announced yet.
A positive development for Turkey is that Apple’s new generation artificial intelligence infrastructure includes Turkish among the supported Apple Intelligence languages. However, we will have to wait a little longer for the new Siri AI that works entirely in Turkish.
Apple also announced that some Apple Intelligence features that use powerful server models will have daily usage limits. The company states that multiple iCloud+ subscriptions will provide higher usage rights for these features.
Features that require high computing power on the server side, especially image creation, will be subject to this limitation. What do you think about Apple’s new artificial intelligence features?
