Samsung is accelerating its preparations for its new flagship smartphone family and is starting the screen production process for the Samsung Galaxy S27 series. The South Korean technology giant is transitioning to mass production of AMOLED panels, which it will use in its new generation devices, this month.
The company is focusing on four different models, in line with previously leaked information. Each of these models will be offered to users with different screen sizes.
Technical Details of the New Series
The new Galaxy S27 family will have a wide range of screen sizes. The base model of the series, the Galaxy S27, will come with a 6.27-inch screen panel.
The Galaxy S27+ model will take its place in the mid-range segment of the series with a 6.66-inch screen size. The newly added Galaxy S27 Pro model will stand out with its 6.47-inch screen.
The Galaxy S27 Ultra, which is at the top of the series, will be equipped with a massive 6.89-inch screen panel. These four different models are at the heart of Samsung’s flagship strategy for 2027.
Samsung Display plans to increase its panel shipment capacity with the production of these new models. The addition of the Pro model means an increase of approximately 10 percent in total panel production compared to the previous generation Galaxy S26 family.
Production Targets and Features
Samsung has set a target of shipping between 47 million and 48 million units annually for the Galaxy S27 series. For comparison, this target was slightly over 40 million units for the Galaxy S26 series.
A particularly ambitious production plan exists for the Galaxy S27 Pro model. The company aims to ship 2 to 3 million panels this year and 4 to 5 million next year.
This production schedule does not mean the devices will be released in 2026. Samsung aims to have the screen panels ready early for the assembly process, which is expected to take place in early 2027.
Another prominent detail of the series is on the screen technology side. It has been confirmed that the Privacy Display feature, introduced with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, will be included in the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra models.
This feature aims to maintain user privacy by restricting the screen’s viewing angle. Samsung’s move once again demonstrates its desire to maintain its leadership in screen technologies.
The performance of these new models, eagerly awaited by the technology world, especially in terms of screen quality and the innovations they offer, is already a subject of curiosity. Do you think the screen sizes and features offered by Samsung in the new Galaxy S27 series meet your expectations?
