South Korean technology giant Samsung took a step that excited its users around the world by accelerating the development processes for its new Android 17-based interface, One UI 9.0. According to the information shared by Tarun Vats, one of the reliable sources of the technology world, the company has already started extensive internal tests on various Galaxy smartphone models.

These early stage tests are considered as a strategic breakthrough by Samsung to optimize the new operating system update and maximize the user experience. This extensive testing process, covering both flagship models and mid-segment devices, aims to increase the stability of the software.

  • Samsung has started internal testing for the One UI 9.0 interface based on Android 17.
  • The new software update covers the Galaxy S26 and S25 series as well as foldable models.
  • Galaxy A57, A17 and A34 models, which are mid-segment devices, were also included in the testing process.

Many Galaxy Models Participate in the One UI 9.0 Testing Process

Samsung’s software development department is working hard to optimize the One UI 9.0 interface to appeal to users from all walks of life. The list of tested devices includes not only the latest flagships. In addition to upper segment phones such as the Galaxy S25 and S26 series, the innovative foldable devices Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 models are also at the center of this development process.

In addition, the company did not forget its mid-segment phones that reach a wider user base. The inclusion of well-known models such as Galaxy A57, A17 and A34 in the testing process proves that Samsung aims for high performance in a wide range of products.

The current work is entirely at the in-house testing stage and does not include a public beta program.

New Features Are Kept in Secret

Although technology enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting the innovations that will come with One UI 9.0, Samsung is very secretive on this issue. In accordance with the classic privacy policy, the visual changes, artificial intelligence integrations or performance improvements that the new interface will bring has not been officially announced yet. The company plans to release the update gradually after making sure of the stability of the software.

Generally, in such processes, a beta program is organized for a limited number of users after internal tests. The stable version is expected to be delivered to the masses after all these steps are successfully passed. What difference Samsung will make in the Android 17 ecosystem with this update will become clear in the coming months.
